Former SPEED Member Woo Taewoon Signs With Hip-Hop Label Millenium Market

Woo Taewoon, former leader of SPEED and Block B's Zico's older brother, has officially signed a contract with hip-hop agency Millennium Market.

On August 20, Ilgan Sports revealed that Taewoon recently signed an exclusive contract and is set to carry out activities under the new company. After leaving idol boy group SPEED, Taewoon made an appearance on Mnet's rap competition program Show Me the Money 4 where he received a lot of recognition as a solo artist.

Millennium Market is a newly established hip-hop label stated to be associated with composing and producing experts in the art. Taewoon (also known as ₩uNo, or Wuno) is slated to be the label's number one rapper and is expected to embark on full-scale activities in the future.

Korean music fans online seem to have mixed opinions over Taewoon's new label. "He has way too much swag," one remarked, according to forum comments translated by Netizenbuzz.

Others seem less impressed with Taewoon thus far. "I think he should seriously consider a career in something else other than hip-hop. He's got good looks and all but his rapping is just so bad," another commenter left on the Ilgan Sports article, while a third confirmed, "He's a horrible rapper, I can't believe there's an agency that took him in."

Despite mixed reviews, many are curious to see what Taewoon will have to offer; especially since he is also to release a mixtape with his brother Zico of hip-hop group Block B.
