Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Might Play Center Says GM John Hammond!

The Milwaukee Bucks will be one of the most exciting teams to watch when the 2015-2016 season begins.

Not only do they have some of the most promising young players right now, they also managed to acquire former Detroit Pistons forward/center Greg Monroe, who is a highly regarded talent as well.

Right now, they are one of the lengthiest teams with MCW at point, Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton switching at the two and three position, Monroe at the four, which leaves the question, where do the Bucks put rising star Giannis Antetokounmpo?

According to GM John Hammond in a recent podcast, they are planning to put the "Greek Freak" at the center position! The GM added that the small-ball system will fit them perfectly.

"I love the fact that with our roster," Hammond said. "I think moving forward, I love the thought of small-ball for us, potentially if there's ever a matchup situation where you say 'they're going to go small, how do we match up with that,' whoever that team may be, I think you play Giannis Antetokounmpo at center."

That proposition is quite nice actually, since the 20 year-old is standing at 6'11" with small forward as his natural position.

"He's 6'11", so it's not really small-ball per se, but his ball skills and know-how of how to play will give us the ability to do that and I think that could be a really fun team to watch someday if you do look at small-ball theory."

To sweeten things up, that is just their secondary option as they offer a legitimate line-up and players that can fill the void in each position.

"We're trying to build around some kind of consistently with the nucleus of Michael Carter-Williams, Khris Middleton, Jabari Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Greg Monroe and John Henson," Hammons said.

"Those six guys are the young core that we look and say that's kinda the future of this organization, and that's not discounting anyone else. Other players have to step and become a part of that group with us. But those guys are the group we hope we can build some kind of continuity with."
