Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Vs. iPhone 6 Plus: Specs And Features Of The Two Phablets Compared!

The latest phone from Samsung has just dropped in the form of the new Galaxy Note 5, which is believed by many to be one of the top competitors of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus.

In a comparison made by GSM Arena, technical specs and features of the two phones were combined side-by-side to see the major and minor differences of the top smartphones in the market of 2015.

Starting off with the body, the Note has the dimensions of 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm, while the iPhone has 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm, showing off the slightly bigger frame for the Apple gadget although it is a bit heavier with 172 g of weight compared to the Samsung's 171 g weight.

While both gadgets support the newest Nano-SIM technology, the two has the special features of their own fingerprint sensors, wherein the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is PayPal certified as compared to the iPhone 6 Plus' Touch ID feature that works with the Apple Pay, which is Visa, MasterCard and AMEX certified.

Talking about its display, the Note has a 5.7-inches super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution that is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the 6 Plus has a 5.5-inches LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution that sits on top of a ion-strengthened glass with oleophobic coating.

Working on the latest Android 5.1.1 OS, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with the latest Exynos 7420 that powers a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 of CPU and Mali-T760MP8 of GPU. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 Plus that runs on the latest iOS, is packed with the latest Apple A8 chipset, powering a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) CPU and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU that provides quad-core graphics.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a bigger 16 MP camera packed with Optical Image Stabilization, which the iPhone 6 Plus also has but on a smaller 8 MP sensor.

The Note could shoot up to 2160p at 30fps, while the iPhone has a maximum of 1080p at 60fps.
