News about "Wayward Pines" season 2 has been making the rounds on the internet, as actress Shannyn Sossamon finally spoke up about why she left Hollywood in the first place, during the previous years.

According to numerous sources, one of which includes Nylon, Sossamon had the case of culture shock when she entered Hollywood before.

"I was just totally not ready for that," the "First Knight" actress shared, talking about the attention that was given to her when she first appeared in movies. "And didn't even want it in a way. It's a privilege, it's a great job...I'm not complaining, but I don't know; I've got a lot of 'Type A' in me."

"I like to have more ground beneath my feet and really understand where I am and what the goal is and what I want."

During the interview with the "Wayward Pines" season 2 actress, it was also revealed that she is now a full fledged mother.

"I like to look at the birth of my first son as a blessing of course, and he's just the joy of my life and my soulmate," Shannyn said. "I can't imagine life without him, so it's weird to think the other way."

"He completely grounded me and made me look at myself, and my life just became completely different. It was just a gift, and perfect timing, too."

Now that she is making her comeback slowly, specifically thru television, the actress has expressed her excitement with getting back on the camera.

"It's exciting now to want to do it again," she said. "Desire, for all of us, is totally necessary to do anything worthwhile. I questioned that for a long time, and I thought maybe I just don't want to, maybe I don't love it, but I think it's just happening when it's supposed to happen."

"I'm a creative person, so there are other things I can do and I can be easily distracted. But [acting] felt like it was supposed to be. I like to think it chose me instead of me choosing it, and I think I'm taking that very seriously now."

As to the development of her character in "Wayward Pines" season 2, sources have yet to divulge information on.
