'Seraph Of The End' Anime PS Vita Game Release Date Confirmed For Winter

According to a report from Anime News Network, the "Seraph of the End" PS Vita game adaptation "Beginning of Destiny" will be released in Japan this winter. The release date is still obscured in terms of month, but will likely be announced by Bandai Namco Entertainment as the Christmas season approaches.

"Seraph of the End: Beginning of Destiny" is said to be a "dramatic tactics battle game" where player's decisions influence the ending of the game. Players must focus on leveling up their "family level" with their friends on the field. This will eventually lead to a "family event" scene. Building trust ultimately leads to special endings in the game.

In addition to "Seraph of the End: Beginning of Destiny" PS Vita game, Bandai Namco Entertainment is also releasing a mobile game entitled "Seraph of the End: Bloody Blades." The mobile game is scheduled for release this fall.

Currently there's no word yet on whether either of these games will be released outside of Japan.

"Seraph of the End," which is based on the manga by Takaya Kagami, Daisuke Furuya, and Yamato Yamamoto, is described on My Anime List as follows:

"One day, a mysterious virus appeared on Earth which killed every infected human over the age of 13. At the same time, vampires emerged from the world's dark recesses and enslaved mankind."

It goes on:

"Enter Hyakuya Yuuichirou, a young boy, who along with the rest of the children from his orphanage, are treated as livestock by the vampires. Even in captivity, Yuuichirou dreams big. He dreams of killing vampires. He dreams of killing them all."

Fans looking to check out "Seraph of the End" can find all of its episodes streaming on Funimation. English dub fans need not worry, as a dubbed version is also now streaming online.
