Phoenix Suns Trade Rumors: Markieff Morris Coveted By Raptors; Suns Not Willing To Pull The Trigger Yet

The Phoenix Suns are having a hard time dealing with disgruntled forward Markieff Morris as he continues to express his desire to get out of his current team.

His main reason of disgust was when the Suns traded his twin brother, Marcus to the Detroit Pistons without informing him. Not only Detroit is too far from Phoenix, they took a lot less money from the Suns in the condition that they should remain as teammates.

However, in a report by Sir Charles In Charge via Arizona Republic, the Suns have no intentions of trading Markieff as they value his skill set too much that it is hard to let go.

"There is no surprise that Markieff Morris is missing from that list, given his "Keef beef" with the franchise. His trade request fell on deaf ears. The Suns need and want Morris. They would not stand much of a chance to replace him by trade. They would have no chance to replace him by free agency. They do not have an adequate existing roster option," as stated in the website.

Meanwhile, a report by Morning USA suggests that Morris and the Toronto Raptors have mutual interest in each other as Markieff would love to play with Kyle Lowry.

Who could the Raptors offer? Power forward Patrick Patterson. The 25 year-old might not be as efficient as Morris, but to avoid locker room issues, the Suns might bite the bullet and proceed with the trade.

Another team that Markieff desires to play for is the Houston Rockets. He said that he and James Harden are close friends but the Rockets have promising forward Terrence Jones who basically have the same skill set. Also, Markieff's salary might be hard to swallow for the Rockets and the only way they could pursue this trade is if they swap him for Trevor Ariza straight up.
