Doomsday Appearance Confirmed In 'Batman V Superman'? Michael Shannon Says Rumors Are 'Lies'

Michael Shannon confirmed that the rumors of Doomsday in "Batman V Superman" are all lies.

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, The "Man of Steel" actor reveals that he isn't part of the upcoming film despite appearing in the movie's trailer.

"I wasn't there," Shannon confessed. "It's a really awkward situation-I'm in the trailer for a movie that I didn't work on. The thing about the whole Krypton universe, apparently, is that even when you destroy them, there are ghosts. The first [film], Jor-El is there even though he's been dead for lord knows how long."

The 41-year-old actor also addressed the rumors he started about General Zod having flippers.

"Somebody was asking me about this in New York and I made up some ridiculous bulls**t answer about how my character Zod has flippers, and this went viral on the Internet or something and people have been asking me about that," he explained. "That is so obviously a complete bulls**t story, right? But people took it seriously."

For the several months, various sources including Heroic Hollywood's Umberto Gonzales have confirmed rumors of Doomsday in "Batman V Superman." Now, the actor rumored to appear as the "Superman killer" says that the rumors aren't true.

"Maybe they should add it, I don't know! Maybe in Part 3, Doomsday will have flipper hands. I mean, look-nothing would make me happier than to work with Zack [Snyder] again, he's hysterical and he's a lot of fun to work with."

Now that the rumors of Doomsday's "Batman V Superman" appearance have been confirmed not to be true, fans can move forward and look ahead to the movie's release on March 25, 2016.

The cast includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

"Batman V Superman" is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio.
