EXO Rapper Chanyeol Covers Hyukoh's 'Wi-ing Wi-ing'

Nobody can resist the appeal of Hyukoh, least of all K-pop idols.

EXO's Chanyeol became the latest K-pop idol to cover a song by the Korean indie band. He uploaded a video of himself singing Hyukoh's "Wi-ing Wi-ing" to his official Weibo account on September 2.

Shortly after the video was shared on social media, the Korean title of the song trended worldwide on Twitter.

Although Chanyeol's vocals are audible on the track, the video doesn't show the EXO member at all and instead remains focused on a keyboard throughout the entire length of the song.

Despite being a rapper in EXO, Chanyeol's rendition of "Wi-ing Wi-ing" is clear and shows off his vocal color.

Hyukoh became one of the most popular indie bands in South Korea after participating in the summer music festival hosted by the popular television show"Infinite Challenge."Hyukoh also became the first act to sign with Tablo's HIGHGRND record label.

The band's songs "Wi-ing Wi-ing" and "Comes And Goes" both appeared at the number one position on Korean music charts.

Chanyeol's rendition of "Wi-ing Wi-ing" was liked over 200,000 times on Weibo within 24 hours of being uploaded to the Chinese social media site.

The rapper debuted as a member of EXO in 2011 as part of the group's EXO-K Korean language sub-group. He recently made his film debut acting in the movie "Salut d'Amour."
