Deflategate News:Gisele Bundchen threatened Tom Brady with divorceafter Brady DeflateGate suspension was nullified.  A source close to the world's highest-paid model and the $13 million-plus-a-year NFL pro told US Weekly, Bundchen hired  a divorce lawyer to make preparations to end their six-year marriage. 

"Tom thinks it's only a threat," the insider told Us Weekly. "But this is definitely a rough patch." The insider added, "Things are very tense right now. This could be the end of them." A judge nullified the four-game suspension from the NFL for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's "Deflategate" scandal. The NFL hired Ted Wells who found that Brady may not have been involved in the alleged plan, but was at least "generally aware" members of the team's equipment staff were altering game balls.

An investigation was conducted by Ted Wells after it was alleged that the Patriots intentionally deflated footballs during the 2015 AFC title game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots were fined $1 million and docked two draft picks for their role in the scandal.

The scandal began with a Wells report which found that Brady's "more probable than not" participation in deflategate in the AFC Championship subjected him to punishment.

The ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman means Brady can start for the Patriots in week one of the NFL season.

Tom Brady's four-game suspension for his role in DeflateGate was nullified after it was deemed unfair that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell appointed himself to hear Brady's appeal under the league's personal conduct policy.

Goodell was barred from being called as a witness in the appeal. The NFL also refused to let the NFL's chief attorney, Jeff Pash, testify at Brady's appeal.

According to reports, the NFL was unwilling to agree to a reduced punishment unless Brady accepted the findings of the Wells report.

Judge Richard M. Berman ruled that "based upon the foregoing and applicable legal authorities, the Court hereby denies the Management Council's motion to confirm the Award and grants the Players Association's motion to vacate the Award, thereby vacating the four-game suspension of Tom Brady, effective immediately."

"The Court is fully aware of the deference afforded to arbitral decisions, but, nevertheless, concludes that the Award should be vacated," Judge Berman wrote in his decision.

"The Award is premised upon several significant legal deficiencies, including (A) inadequate notice to Brady of both his potential discipline (four-game suspension) and his alleged misconduct; (B) denial of the opportunity for Brady to examine one of two lead investigators, namely NFL Executive Vice President and General Counsel Jeff Pash; and (C) denial of equal access to investigative files, including witness interview notes."

The ruling surprised legal experts.

"I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight," he said before taking his case to federal court," Brady said in his defense.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are reportedly heading for divorce. The star quarterback and the highest paid supermodel in the world are allegedly fighting over pay inequity and the pressures of Deflategate.

The New England Patriots quarterback and the Brazilian supermodel haven't been photographed together for weeks.

The New England Sports Network reported that Bundchen didn't make it to the Patriots' pre- season game at Gillette Stadium on August 14. Bündchen, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program, also didn't make it to husband's court hearing.

The Washington Post speculated that DeflateGate is the main issue behind Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's divorce in a piece entitled "Has DeflateGate taken the air out of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's marriage?"

The Washington Post wrote. "Are they feeling too much pressure? Could we be looking at some sort of suspension of their romance?"

"Tom Brady is OK. He is human, " Randy Moss told Fox Sports. "He does have somewhat an emotional scar because I don't think that Tom Brady has ever been through anything like this."
