U-KISS and 2NE1 Take Part in Global Twin Towers Event in Malaysia, 50,000 People Attended!

This past weekend musical acts from all over the world came together to perform at Twin Towers @Live 2013, a two-day musical festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The show was staged at the base of the world famous Petronas Towers in the heart of the city in front of 50,000 screaming fans.

The music gala took place on March 22-23 and featured local Malaysian acts alongside international singers including southeast Asia's favorite K-Pop idols 2NE1 and U-KISS. The event also

The Friday night performance was kicked off by two Malaysia acts, jazz singer-songwriter Atilia and the energetic hip-hop group K-Town Clan.

The crowd showed uproarious excitement when U-KISS took to the stage. The Malaysian K-Pop fans dancing and screaming with overwhelmed glee while taking videos and snapping photos of the idols' energetic performance. U-KISS wowed the audience with some of their well-known songs such as "Never Land," "Standing Still," and "Someday."

The first night of the Twin Towers @Live 2013 finished out with a tremendous hour-long show from American singer Demi Lovato and a set from DJ Face. Lovato fans showed their passion as they sang along with and cheered for the singer who was performing in Malaysia for the first time ever. They even weathered a brief downpour to have the opportunity to see her perform live in person.

After Lovato left the stage DJ Face excited the crowd further spinning some beats and encouraging the concertgoers to keep the party going.

Saturday the show was back with even more screaming, dancing, and excitement. The second day of Twin Towers @Live began with Kuala Lumpur native hip-hop artist Caprice and then Earth Hour festivities. All the lights in the two Petronas towers were turned off in observance of the environmental awareness event.

Then it was back to the music with world-famous Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Mizz Nina.

Saturday night's highly anticipated headliners were Korean electro-pop power girl group 2NE1 and original American boy band the Backstreet Boys.

When 2NE1 got on stage, fans could hardly contain themselves. As a big surprise, the girls addressed the audience in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. There was a tremendous roar as fans danced to hits like "I Am the Best" and "I Love You" throughout the dynamic performance.

The stage was then taken by the Backstreet Boys and they played their chart-topping hit singles like "I Want It That Way" and "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" to a crowd of thousands. The Twin Towers @Live festival was the kickoff of their 20th Anniversary world tour, proving that with age, fans remain loyal and idols just keep getting better.

To close out the two-day music gala was DJ Tatsuro who filled the outdoor dance floor with excited patrons until the wee hours of the morning with his diverse mix of genre-bending beats and sounds.

All in all, a very successful music festival in Kuala Lumpur with a nice blend of international acts and 50,000 very satisfied fans.
