Indie Band Lazy Born Returns With 1st Album Release In 8 Years

Self-proclaimed "first generation Hongik University indie band" Lazy Born is back with a brand new album, "Just Be Lazy."

The group, who rose to popularity a decade ago performing alongside other well-known indie rock bands such as Crying Nut and No Brain, released their fifth album, their first in eight years, on September 1.

As Lazy Born has been out of the scene for a while, they decided on a quite radical approach to distribute their albums, hoping to differentiate themselves from the masses in the process.

Releasing the new album exclusively online, the band is also collaborating with the magazine "Big Issue" which helps empower the homeless by aiding in their financial independence.  Lazy Born said that the first 1,000 people to purchase the latest issue of "Big Issue" would receive a limited edition version of their new album.

The album distributor Mirror Ball Music said, "We wanted to think of ways to be able to come closer to music fans a bit more.  This is a product that shows the sweat and pains of all the members of Lazy Born as well as their deep contemplations and problems."

The band will promote the new album exclusively through live performances.
