News that linebacker David Bass, quarterbacks Zac Dysert and offensive lineman Michael Ola were put on waivers are among the latest news to come out from the Chicago Bears camp.

He had limited playing time in Thursday's 24-0 preseason victory over the Cleveland Browns, after completing one of his four pass attempts for 9 yards.

For his part, Ola played every position except center, as he started 12 games last season as an injury replacement.

Meanwhile, David Fales, played an outstanding game against the Browns, as he made 14 of 18 passes for 131 yards with two touchdown passes.

With this impressive performance, the Bears may decide to retain him as their No. 3 quarterback as the team heads into Week 1.

Holding the Browns to only 2.7 yards per play, the Bear's defense posted seven sacks and forced three turnovers, which pleased experienced players in its tune-up win.

"I was out there to help the young guys and keep them motivated," said outside linebacker Willie Young.

"It's always fun when you can go out there and take snaps. It's been a long road for me this year, but obviously back up and running now, so feels good to be out there," he added.
