Minnesota Timberwolves Trade Rumors: Ricky Rubio Coveted By Knicks, Nets, Mavs And Bucks?

The Minnesota Timberwolves have the chance to rise up from becoming a bottom-dweller team to an up and coming team ready for the Western Conference playoffs.

Consisting of a core with Andrew Wiggins, Zach Lavine, and Karl Anthony Towns, the squad is surprisingly looking for a major move that will likely include Ricky Rubio.

Rubio spent last season mostly in the sidelines due to injury. He was only able to play 22 games and missed 60. Although he is looking really healthy now, Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher might still move the Spanish point guard.

According to Bucher, he can land with the Brooklyn Nets as they are completely lacking of a facilitator right now. It is worth noting that they let Deron Williams walk in exchange for nothing.

Also, the Dallas Mavericks could also make a run for the 24 year-old as Williams might not be enough as their starting point guard.

Also, the New York Knicks is another possibility as the team is completely lacking a good facilitator which Phil Jackson covets.

Lastly, the ideal fit for Rubio is said to be the Milwaukee Bucks as he and head coach Jason Kidd share the same play style and Michael Carter-Williams doesn't look like the point guard they see as their centerpiece.

Nevertheless, Bucher noted that it would make the most sense if the T-wolves do not move Rubio and they will realize that they indeed need a point guard like him.

In a previous report, the T-Wolves see Andre Miller as the point guard who could finish games for the T-Wolves.

"in a report by Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher, he said that the T-Wolves will be relying mostly on veteran point guard Andre Miller to take the helm during crunch time. The main issue they see in Rubio is his ability to score that makes him expendable. He added the teams that might pursue Rubio are the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks."
