VIXX's N will take on his first lead acting role in KBS' upcoming cheerleading drama Cheer Up.

N will be taking on the role of Ha Dong Jae, a brilliant character academically but with a four-dimensional oddball personality. He's further described as a geek and with a younger mental age than his other characters. According to OSEN, N will showcase his hidden charms through the role as well as experience some romance.

Alongside N are many other popular actors and actresses. A Pink's Jung Eunji, who earned attention for her roles in Reply 1997 and Trop Lovers will play the lead role of the loyal and popular Kang Yeon Du.

Meanwhile, Lee Won Geun plays the lead role opposite to Eunji a the handsome and smart Kim Yeol. Additionally, actor Ji Soo (who gained fans through his work on MBC's Angry Mom) will play a mysterious student with a painful and hidden past who also shares a cute bromance with Lee Won Geun.

Finally, rookie actress Chae Soo Bin joins the cast as a character whose life has been outlined by her mother.

The drama takes place in a prestigious high school where the eclectic group of students come together to form a cheerleading club. Cheer Up! is stated to include high quality singing and dancing performances, heightening expectations for the drama.

The first episode will air on October 5 at 10 PM KST.
