Now that New England Patriots star Tom Brady has been cleared of charges involving the so-called "deflategate" scandal, he has cleared up his name in relation to non-football-related headlines.

In response to rumors claiming that he is getting a divorce from wife Gisele Bundchen, the quarterback responded by mentioning that they're "in a great place." 

"I'm a lucky man. I've been very blessed with support from my family and certainly her. There's no bigger supporter than I have than her and vise versa. I've been very blessed to have an incredible relationship with my life partner," he said during a recent interview. 

In response to reports about his ownership of a cap from Donald Trump's presidential campaign with his "Make America Great Again" slogan, he said the gift was sent to him from the presidential candidate himself. 

"He always gives me a call and different types of motivational speeches at different times," he told WEEI. 

"So now that he's running for president, he sent me a hat, and he gave it to R.K.K. [Robert Kraft] a couple weeks ago. So it found its way to my locker."

Brady and the Patriots have also been critical of the ESPN channel for their coverage of "deflategate" and the involvement of Bill Belichick. Read their joint statement here. 

Most of the attention following Brady since "deflate gate," however, has revolved around his wife Bundchen, a rising Brazilian fashion model.

The celebrity couple was reported to be feuding because of his alleged involvement in the National Football League (NFL) scandal. The controversy is rooted in accusations that the Patriots tampered with footballs used in the American Football Conference Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts last season, resulting in Brady's suspension.

"There have been a lot of stresses in their marriage in the last year, especially during football season," a source close to the NFL quarterback told PEOPLE.

"Tom is singularly focused on his career and sometimes Gisele feels left out. There have been arguments." 

Brady is 38 years old and Bundchen is 35.
