Denver Nuggets News: Future Is Bright With Emanuel Mudiay And Danilo Gallinari

The Denver Nuggets got themselves something to look forward to when they drafted point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who slid down to the seventh spot. Not only that, the performance Danilo Gallinari is putting up in the FIBA qualifiers are simply impressive.

In fact, his outstanding performance was so noticeable that Nuggets GM Tim Connelly, and he praised the Italian forward in an interview with Mile High Sports on Tuesday.

"His play so far in the first couple of games with the Italian team ... has really clearly illustrated that he's not just back, but he's better than ever," Connelly said after making a trip overseas to watch his players play in Eurobasket 2015.

Gallinari is putting up 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds and leads the tourney in efficiency rating per The Score.com. The forward couldn't be happier with the resurgence of his career after spending most of his last two seasons in the sidelines due to injury.

The devotion he gives is just something that any team would covet. He said that whenever he is healthy, he will give it his all for any team he plays for especially for his home country.

"If I am ok physically, I don't see why I should not come to play with the national team," Gallinari said via Denver Stiffs.

"I love playing for Italy and we hope to do something nice together."

Talking about Mudiay, the point guard put up a splendid performance during the Summer League and for those who are not quite familiar with his game, here's his scouting report courtesy of Sports Illustrated's Lee Jenkins.

"Emmanuel Mudiay, the No. 7 pick of the Denver Nuggets this past June, is a subpar shooter, but is quick enough, strong enough and fearless enough to attack the paint at will and generate scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates."
