‘Hansel And Gretel 2’ Draft By Steven Ilous Reveals Sequel Title, Possible Plot; Spoiler Alert!

Steven Ilous reveals the unused artwork he has pitched to Paramount Pictures for "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 2," giving a hint on the plot as well as the title of the sequel, a report on Movieweb says.

Previously, it has been announced that "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" will be getting a sequel. It was revealed that viewers must more or less expect a more action-packed adventure as well as more powerful villains compared to the first film.

Now, according to reports, Ilous, who was in the shortlist of directors who were attached to helm "Hansel and Gretel 2," revealed through his official website that he will not be the one to direct. Instead, it has been announced that Bruno Aveillan will be taking the directorial seat for the movie.

Along with that, he also posted the initial draft he made on the site. Ilous said, "In 2015, I was sent the latest daft of the sequel to 'Hansel and Gretel: With Hunters' for consideration to direct."

According to ScreenRant, the filmmaker shared the presentation of the "original character designs, key art, storyboards, animatics and a Marquette."

"I had such a great time working closely with Vincent Van Dyke from VVDFX, Bryan Wynia, Darek Zabrocki, Jonathan Gesinki and the academy nominated Mike Elizalde from Spectral Motion," wrote Ilous on his page.

The unused art shared by Ilous also revealed some of the possible plot details of the sequel. The images, which were created by Van Dyke, reveal that the brother-sister tandem will be battling the undead and to succeed, they have to take down an enemy called High Priestess.

Furthermore, the title of the sequel has also been revealed. "Hansel and Gretel" is "Witch Hunters" no more, according to ComicBook.com. The title of the second film in the franchise is "Hansel and Gretel: Death's Messengers."

"Hansel and Gretel: Death's Messenger's" is said to be looking to a 2016 release.
