Ridley Scott Gets Busy With 'Prometheus 2;' Spoilers Reveal Engineers Not Really Creators?

Now it's confirmed by Ridley Scott himself that his next movie would be "Prometheus 2."

In an interview for Empire magazine with Matt Damon and Ridley Scott for "The Martian," the director dropped a little bit of nugget for fans waiting for the sequel to "Prometheus."

"I was already on to my next movie!" he said. "I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is Prometheus 2."

According to SciFied website, Ridley Scott is just focusing on "The Martian," and after a brief rest following the release of the Matt Damon movie this coming November, he would be back again for "Prometheus 2."

An issue of Total Film magazine had a pull quote of Ridley Scott saying, "I've got back into the science fiction thing. I kind of adore it."

But Perri Nemiroff of Collider claimed that at this point, fans should not believe hook, line and sinker spoilers for "Prometheus 2."

"The Prometheus 2 start date isn't a direct quote, but I'd like to think that the outlet got the information from Scott himself," he wrote. "If that is the case, perhaps Prometheus 2 really is a go, but I'm still hesitant to consider that start date a sure thing, especially because, as we know, things change and there's still a lot of work to be done."

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot said that "Prometheus 2" will begin shooting in January 2016.

The website also teased spoilers for "Prometheus 2" by repeating the theories online which claimed that the Engineers are not actually the creators of humanity, "but rather subordinate to a higher being (or beings) that set the events of creation in motion upon various planets, including Earth."

Among the most popular theory is that the Engineers are actually angels to a much higher power.

Watch out for more spoilers for "Prometheus 2" which will be published here when they become avaialble.
