Former Zumba Instructor Alexis Wright Pleads Guilty To Prostitution Charges

Alexis Wright pled guilty to over 20 felony counts Friday including using her Zumba studio to run a prostitution ring.

Alexis Wright will serve at least 10-months in jail. She agreed to the plea rather than go to trial and face the public reveal of her sex videos, exhibitionism and pornography.

Wright was working with Mark Strong, an insurance agent and father of two. Strong would oversea the business and kept video records of Wright's interactions with clients.

Alexis Wright was originally charged with 106 criminal counts including welfare and tax fraud. The District Attorney dropped the charges from 106 to 20. At her hearing on Friday the judge read out the charges. After each charge was read Alexis Wright quietly replied "guilty."

Her accomplice Mark Strong was convicted of 13 counts of promoting prostitution. Strong will spend 20 days in jail.

According to Huffington Post Strong was tried before Alexis Wright. After Strong's trial Wright agreed to a plea deal because the evidence presented in Strong's trail was too compelling.

In a video played during Strong's trail, you see Wright engaging in sexual activity with a man. Before they become intimate the man asked Wright about her rate and left $250 on her nightstand.

Alexis Wright operated her Zumba studio in the quiet beach town of Kennebunk Maine. The small town was not used to the media coverage or the scandal Alexis Wright brought to the community.
