To little surprise, one member of EXO is beloved by Korean women, according to a poll by Korean netizens.

Korean netizens, or Internet citizens, compiled a list of the top20 most popular idols nowadays among Korean female netizens. The list, published on the popular Korean community site Pann, was based on rankings from community sites where the majority of users were women.

EXO's Xiumin was the number one most popular Korean idol, because of his positive attitude and popularity among younger women.

Xiumin is a member of SM Entertainment's male idol group EXO, and a member of the group's Mandarin-speaking subunit EXO-M.

Second place went to Korean-American soloist Eric Nam, who is popular as both a singer and a MC. Eric Nam was the only soloist to place in the entire list, which featured both singers and actors.

Following Xiumin and Eric Nam were three other members of EXO- Kai, Sehun, and Chanyeol.

Sixth place went to actor Yoo Seung Ho. He was followed by SHINee's Onew, BTOB's Yook Sungjae, and ZE:A's Park Hyung Sik and Lim Si Wan.

Due to overlap in popularity, the list in actuality included a total of 25 Korean celebrities who are popular among Korean women.

Song Joong Ki, SHINee's Minho, Key and Taemin, EXO's Chen, Gong Yoo, Yoon Yeon Seok, Lee Jong Suk, Yeon Woo Jin, iKON's Bobby, BEAST's Lee Kikwang and Yoon Doo Joon, WINNER's Song Minho, VIXX's Leo, and Lee Sang Woo all were included in the list.

Several of the idols included on the list, including members of ZE:A, BEAST, and BTOB, rose in personal popularity following well-received appearances in Korean television dramas.
