‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Might Be The Last? Manga Only 60% Done Plus 3 More Years Of Work

The popular Japanese comic/manga series "Attack on Titan" is ending soon, but still has three years-worth of story to go with creator Hajime Isayama revealing that the series is only about 60 percent finished, according to Nerdist.

"Attack on Titan" has become one of the highly-anticipated manga and anime series since its release, and with the conclusion of the first season of the animated series, fans have been clamoring for a second season which has yet to be released.

During an interview with the Japanese site Antenna, Kawakubo Shintaro, the editor of the comic series stated that the "end was in sight" for "Attack on Titan," but fans still need to grip the edge of their seats since Isayama, the creator of the series, stated that the manga is only around 60 percent finished.

Translations of the interview on Crunchyroll via Comic Book Resources stated that though the "Attack on Titan" manga series has been released almost six years ago, it still has around three years worth of story and work to be done.

The editor explained that the original plan is for Isayama to create a new "majority-geared series" which he says would be "easy for the public to understand and caters to them," Techtimes wrote, further adding that "Attack on Titan" only came to be a year after repeated discussions on who or what represents this supposed "majority."

Of course, it is quite obvious to anyone who has read the manga or watched the series that "Attack on Titan" does not necessarily follow a conventional format with characters dying here and there every single time.

On the other hand, due to this revelation, speculations have risen with regard to the animated series with some sources, such as that of Movie News Guide, suggesting that the second season will be the last considering the amount of work that has yet to be done.
