Microsoft Office 2016 Release Date For PC Confirmed! Mac Version To Follow?

In relation to the release of the Windows 10, Microsoft also announced the release date of Office 2016 this month!

According to a report from BGR, the new Microsoft Office 2016 that would be available for Home and Professional users could experience the newest line of the said programs on Sept. 22.

A statement from Win Future revealed that Microsoft would revamp Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and others on its release next week.

"On Sept. 22, 2015, we'll release Office 2016 - with updates for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Skype For Business, Project, Visio, Access and Publisher," the statement wrote. "The innovation wave continues in Q2 with the release of E5 and Skype For Business and on-premise service will follow."

"This is the central hub for all Office 2016 Commercial readiness, training and marketing materials," it continued. "Mark this page and check back frequently, as we will be releasing new materials, weekly to support the launch."

Meanwhile, Mac version of the Microsoft Office 2016 has been reported to come on the same release date as the PC's.

In the official website of Office, points out the new features that Mac users could see on the upcoming update.

According to the site, new templates, Retina support, multi-touch gestures and overall face revamp is expected.

Furthermore, it is slated to have updates for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook.

The Verge had a hands-on experience with the face-lifted version and stated that the update clearly satisfied them.

"The new colorful option arrives alongside a dark theme for those who dislike the traditional look of Microsoft's Office apps," the site pointed out. "Microsoft is improving Outlook 2016 search, attachments, storage footprint, and email delivery performance, alongside some improvements to image insertion in Word 2016 and Excel 2016."

Release date of Microsoft Office 2016 for the PC and Mac is locked in this September.
