Eric Nam Describes College Life And Performs 3 Songs At MOI'M Student Networking Event In New York City

Many dread the month of September as it usually means "Back To School" month.

But it's not so bad if you're kicking off your new school year with a small taste of fashion and entertainment from Lie Sang Bong and K-Pop star like Eric Nam.

On September 12th, New York non-profit organization MOI'M held their first networking and concert event titled "Inception: Hello New York" at NYU's Skirball Center. Giving college students the chance to network and meet professionals from different organizations as well as other students, attendees were treated with talks, performances and games.

Representatives from various Korean Student Associations gave tips and "life hacks" to international students attending schools in New York, while famous fashion designer Lie Sang Bong gave a congratulatory speech and, last but not least, Eric Nam, with a talk on his college experience and a performance.

"College was when I went a little bit psycho," Nam began while describing his college years.

Mentioning he probably joined every possible student organization, he recollects being rejected from his university's acapella group. The irony.

Followed by his talk, Eric Nam performed three songs - two of them being "Heaven's Door" and "I'm Okay" and a cover of Bruno Mars' feel-good track, "Treasure."

The atmosphere then became intimate as fans and attendees were welcome to a Q&A session with the singer/television personality and play games.

When an attendee asked Nam about was the most valuable lesson he's learned since the end of "Birth of a Great Star," the singer emphasized that "you gotta be on your feet all the time."

Whether it's in the entertainment industry or not, Nam elaborates that it's always good to be prepared on possible outcomes in the future.

Now that's a good life tip to follow!

In addition to 'Hello New York' and MOI'M's past events, co-founder Yeong Lim stated that the organization is becoming more ambitious with holding events and inviting bigger stars in their future events.

Officially partnering with Korean Culture Services in New York, MOI'M aims to bring more opportunities for young adults with creativity, entertainment and more events similar to ones held in the past.
