‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Cast Updates: C-3PO And R2-D2 Still Fighting In Real Life?

While Darth Vader has been known as the top-notch villain of the George Lucas film who brings chaos and war, it appears that C-3PO and R2-D2 are the ones fighting in real life prior to the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in December.

According to the Daily Mirror, C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels claimed that R2-D2 actor Kenny Baker's name was only mentioned "on the credits as a sort of courtesy."

The report stated that the tension between the actors started "a long, long time ago (in a galaxy not so far away, known as Pinewood Studios)" when Baker allegedly attributed Daniels as the "rudest man I've ever met."

The robots both appeared in all seven sequels, and were not only cast for the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" film.

When asked about baker, Daniels had this to say, "He's not actually on the set."

"I haven't seen him for years," the 69-year-old actor said. "His name is on the credits as a sort of... I don't know, a good luck charm, a courtesy. He's a talisman."

The "Prime Suspect" actor continued by saying, "He's been saying unpleasant things about me. I just don't comment."

Meanwhile, TV Newsroom reported that Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the previous episodes, will still be part of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" cast.

The report added that "new faces" will also be part of the seventh instalment of the movie. Accordingly, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley will play the rebellious Stormtrooper Finn and scavenger Rey, respectively.

In the meantime, International Business Times shared that Oscar Isaac, in his interview with TeLe-Loisirs, disclosed about his request to make some changes in the "trajectory" of his role.

Isaac, who is cast as X-Wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," admitted that he could have lost the role should director J. J. Abrams refuse his request.
