Fans couldn't contain their excitement over the birth of the Leighton Meester Adam Brody baby. After reports surfaced of the actors first child, their fans immediately posted their congratulations on social media.

As seen on Meester's Instagram feed, fans posted their cheers on the actress-singer's post three weeks ago of a picture of her dog.

Many of her followers simply said "congrats" but others also asked about the baby and how she was doing. Some even commented how the actress has inspired them. There were others who expressed as well that the couple would be great parents.

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody were very adamant to keep their married and family life private since getting married last year. Many were caught by surprise when the actress-singer was spotted in May with an already big belly for her first baby. 

In July, she was again seen in public looking like she's going to give birth soon. True enough, based on the documents that TMZ obtained, the actress gave birth just a few weeks after the sighting. According to the report, the baby girl arrived on Aug. 4 in California. She was apparently named Arlo Day.

Despite the documents, the couple has yet to confirm the birth of their first child as reported by E! Online. The very private pair has been very mum about details of their lives. But in 2014, Brody did reveal how many kids he planned to have with his wife.

"I say twelve," he responded in a Reddit session as quoted by Us Weekly. "And I decide."

In May, meanwhile, Meester also spoke about her married life a bit in an interview with Idolator.

"It's going really good," Leighton Meester, who just had a baby with Adam Brody said. "Life is good. I'm just spending the day at home. I've got errands, and - I don't know - life."
