Andrea Bocelli Wants New Album To Stay Away From Pop And Classical Music

Andrea Bocelli is back in the scene and is expected to release a new album really soon.

In a report by The Wall Street Journal, the blind Italian singer is ready to release his record that would have songs focused on cinema music and that would stay away from the usual classical and pop music he is accustomed to.

"I've always thought that film music was a music that was particularly free," Bocelli said through his translator. "Pop music usually has to follow a certain pattern, whereas film music...can race where it wants, like a horse galloping over the plain."

In addition to that, he also said in another interview, as reported by Classic FM, that he always wanted to do film songs, which he would be doing on his next release.

"I'm fulfilling a wish that I've harboured for decades," Andrea Bocelli said of his new album. "I've never made a secret of my dream of bringing to life a recording project associated with soundtracks, as I truly believe that it's an exceptional artistic treasure trove."

Furthermore, even though he initially said that he wanted a new direction for his new album, Andrea Bocelli is still positive about having classical music as his inspiration.

"I have an enormous love for classical music, and when love is true and genuine and serious, it becomes contagious," he said. "Mass media ignores this kind of music. We have to seize every opportunity we have."

Although there are no official announcments up to now, the new album from Andrea Bocelli is expected in a few weeks time.
