Big Bang Claim Top Spots On K-Pop Summer 2015 Billboard Charts

The season is changing as K-pop's biggest fans are going back to school, pumpkin-themed products are appearing everywhere, and the fall TV season has everyone entertained in the evenings. Before we begin to forget the 2015 summer, which K-pop groups managed to top the charts despite an unprecedented number of comebacks and debuts?

According to reports, Big Bang has claimed the title of K-pop artist of the summer. The YG Entertainment group managed to top both of Billboard's K-pop summer 2015 charts. In particular, their song "Bang Bang Bang" was number one on the World Digital Song chart and was the most viewed K-pop music video of this summer.

"It was clearly the season of Big Bang with all eight singles charting along with five music videos," writes Jeff Benjamin on Billboard.

Speaking of those eight songs from the "Made" album series, the top three spots on the World Digital Songs chart were all claimed by Big Bang. Their winning streak was only broken by Psy's "Gangnam Style" at number four and EXO's "Love Me Right" at number six.

As for Big Bang's music video success, "Sober," "We Like 2 Party," and "Let's Not Fall in Love" claimed the sixth, seventh, and eighth spots with "Zutter" rounding off the top 10 of the music video category.

Big Bang's summer reign may be over, but the boys still have several months of touring to complete for their "Made" album. The group is currently touring in Taiwan and will soon make stops in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Macao.

Big Bang will wrap up their "Made" tour in Japan with stops in each major concert dome. The final concert is set for Jan. 9 through Jan. 11.
