Leighton Meester may have just given Hollywood stars a great example on how to keep life private despite stardom. Although the actress-turned-singer gave birth last month, it took a while before entertainment websites found out about it.

As reported by Lainey Gossip, the birth of the couple's first child was proof that hiding or maintaining a very private life in Hollywood was possible.

In a report on TMZ, it was mentioned that Meester gave birth at Whittier Hospital, which was miles away from renowned hospitals that most celebrities choose to give birth in. She gave birth on Aug. 4 but the birth certificate was only filed last week. The baby was reportedly female and was named Arlo Day.

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have yet to confirm the details that were widely reported in different websites. This was not surprising as the couple have been keen on keeping their home life away from the limelight.

The couple's marriage, for one, in Feb. 2014 was kept under wraps until it was already over as told by Us Weekly. No one also knew that the couple was expecting their first child until Meester was spotted by PopSugar in May with an already big baby bump. Neither Meester nor Brody confirmed the pregnancy publicly.

The "Gossip Girl" alum has expressed as well in May that she will be enjoying home life in the meantime. It was not clear though if she will be taking a long break from Hollywood, in the meantime.

"Right now I'm making plans to do more shows and mostly hanging at home," she told Idolator in May. "I've done a ton of traveling in the last year/year-and-a-half which is great, but sometimes it's nice to just chill. So spending a lot of time with friends and family."

Leighton Meester has yet to be seen in public since she was seen looking like about to pop her first baby back in July as reported by E! Online. Earlier this month though, as mentioned by Reveal UK in a report, Adam Brody graced the premiere of "Sleeping With Other People" but did not breathe a word that their first child has apparently been born already.
