'Prison Break' Season 5 Officially Confirmed; Statement Released By Fox Executives!

Reports about the continuation of 'Prison Break' onto a season 5 has been confirmed to be happening indeed, as official statements have been released by the head honchos at Fox themselves.

Dana Walden, who is the producer at Fox, was recently quoted by Entertainment Weekly, confirming the validity of the update about the said series.

"I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, it picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show," he said. "The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back."

The brothers he is referring to is known to be the characters played by Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. As to how the "Prison Break" season 5 will be taking off since the final episode of the previous season killed off Wentworth's character, Walden said it will be addressed.

"It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience," he said. "It'll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season."

"I don't think he's going to completely ignore what happened in that episode, but what he pitched to us was a very logical and believable explanation in the world of 'Prison Break' for why are character's alive and still moving around the world," Walden continued about the final episode from the previous series.

"He had a very detailed incredible story for why these characters become relevant again and why they're back," he further added.

The released date for "Prison Break" season 5 has yet to be announced, but fans are glued on the internet for updates.
