The girlfriend of Kate Middleton's brother, Donna Air, seemed so proud when she shared that she has a "pretty awesome boyfriend" in James Middleton.

Following reports that she and James Middleton have already called it quits, the 36-year-old TV presenter, together with her beau, emphasized in a statement that they are "still very much together" and they are "happier than ever," according to The Daily Mail.

"Mark Twain once complained that reports of his death were exaggerated," James Middleton and Donna Air reportedly said in a statement. "A few days ago we were equally amazed to read the obituaries of our relationship splashed across the national press."

The blonde beauty and the 28-year-old brother of Kate Middleton even added that the released stories "are completely untrue and without merit."

"Happily, we can report that our relationship is not over," they said in unison. "We are still very much a couple and have not parted ways."

The Daily Mail shared that "their statement comes as The Mail on Sunday's 'You' magazine today publishes an exclusive and revealing interview with Donna Air, in which she speaks about her 'pretty awesome boyfriend.'"

Furthermore, the report disclosed that they are allegedly looking forward to a "new chapter" in their life together.

It can be recalled that the high-profile couple's romance started almost three years ago when they met at a Mayfair event.

Meanwhile, prior to releasing this statement, various reports about their break-up have made headlines.

The Sun (via Metro) reported that a source revealed to them that Donna Air was "devastated" with her separation from James Middleton.

"The split happened a couple of weeks ago and it was James' decision," the source reportedly said. "Poor Donna. She's more than a little bit."

The source continued by saying, "But he just didn't think it was going to go the distance. And I think his family were always very anti her being the future Queen of England's sister-in-law."
