Becky G and Austin Mahone may be in the running to become among Hollywood's friendly exes. Recently, a picture of them together leaked online.

As reported by Cambio on Friday, the "Empire" star and "Dirty Work" singer were seen together in a picture that was posted by their friend Zach Dorsey.

"Tribal 3 is back," Dorsey wrote on the Instagram post.

Mahone can be seen looking into the mirror as the picture was snapped along with two other friends. The "Empire" star, meanwhile, was on the right side of the frame talking to the "Dirty Work" singer's mom, Michelle Mahone.

It was not clear if the picture was recently taken or just a throwback but fans were impressed that they remain close after their breakup. Some though were hoping that the picture was an indication that they were either becoming friends or getting back together.

"There is still hope," one fan commented.

Coincidentally, Dorsey uploaded the picture on Sept. 24 -- the same day that Becky G and Austin Mahone had a Twitter exchange.

"Morning!" the "Dirty Work" singer tweeted then. "Who's going to @iambeckyg show tonight?"

The "Empire" star simply replied with a wide-eyed emoticon. It was not clear whether it meant a surprise or just a mere acknowledgement.

Their fans also gushed about the said exchange with some responding "Becstin" several times.

The former couple has been posting cryptic messages that's been sending their fans in frenzy with hope of their reconciliation. Last month, the "Empire" star posted a quote about loving and breaking up. Yesterday, she also lauded young love -- something she had with Mahone.

"I love when I see young couples who have their s--t together and are just happy," she wrote. "Like you go. Do the damn thing. Love is great."

Becky G and Austin Mahone broke up just last August. But the pair said afterwards that they remain good friends.
