Although Tiger Woods is rumored to have a new girlfriend in the person of Amanda Boyd, the world's former no. 1 golfer has remained friends with his past flame Lindsey Vonn.

The ex-lovers have reportedly expressed support for each other, as both are in the process of recovering from their respective injuries, according to the Inquisitr.

The three-time US Open Champion underwent a second back surgery in September and won't be back in the course till 2016, while the four-time World Ski Champion is still in rehab after fracturing her ankle while training in New Zealand.

The former pair allegedly have maintained contact with each other since their split, as they continue to share their mutual love for sports, particularly tennis.

The two were in fact seen together during the U.S. Open where they cheered their friends Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

In an interview with USA Today, Lindsey Vonn talked about her break-up with Tiger Woods and how she was coping so far.

"I'm doing really well. I'm feeling good. I have a good support system around me and we ended on good terms," the 30-year-old Olympic skier said.

"It just didn't work. That happens: Two adults, sometimes, it just doesn't work. But yes, we do [keep in touch]," she added.

In a report by the National ENQUIRER (via Radar Online), Vonn allegedly called it quits with Tiger Woods after finding out that he was having an affair with his new rumored girlfriend Amanda Boyd.

"Even though Tiger dated Lindsey for years, he had a 'thing' for Amanda," a source reportedly revealed to the ENQUIRER.

"At first, it was just innocent flirting, but earlier this year it became serious," the source added.

The source further disclosed that the 11-time PGA Player of the Year and Amanda, ex-wife of pro-golfer Jason Dufner, had been allegedly involved in the illicit affair for months.

"Amanda is gorgeous, and she's known as a big flirt with the other players on the PGA tour," another insider revealed. "I guess her flirty ways and good looks caught Tiger's eye."

It may be inevitable that Tiger Woods and his new girlfriend will continue to be the subject of rumor mills for quite a while.
