A Chrissy Teigen and John Legend baby is on the way!

The model-turned-host made the announcement over social media to the delight of their fans, who have followed her struggle for her first child.

"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant," she captioned on a picture of them with the singer touching her belly. "As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family."

"We're so excited that it's finally happening," she added. "Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!"

As reported by E! Online, the couple was over the moon over the good news. It was not clear if Teigen will be facing a delicate pregnancy after her fertility struggle but she has been extra careful just the same for the sake of the baby.

"Chrissy is feeling great and enjoying every second being pregnant," an insider told the source above. "She is taking good care of her body and making sure her and their baby are healthy and feeling good. John has been a huge support for Chrissy during this time."

The Chrissy Teigen John Legend baby news came just a month after the model admitted on national television that she and her singer husband have been trying for a child for years.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight in September, Teigen slammed people who kept on asking her about growing her family.

"John and I were having trouble," she revealed in her show "FABLife" as cited by the source above. "We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened. But my gosh, it's been a process."

But with the baby coming soon, will Teigen strictly impose her "no hot nannies" rule to Legend? As she said in jest to People back in September as well, she's wary of having "hot nannies" around.

"No hot nannies, drivers or maids," Chrissy Teigen said back then if ever a John Legend baby came. "It's an ongoing joke in my house. I do want kids one day, so it's something that I have to think about.

"I trust John, but you never know with these men," she added.
