The Corrs are preparing for a reunion tour and a new album and fans are all excited to hear what the group has in store after a decade since appearing in the scene.

In a report by Malton Mercury, Sharon Corr claimed that the group never announced anything about breaking up or ending the stint of the group and revealed that the band will be back by next year.

"We never sort of decided to stop or quit as a band," Sharon Corr said. "We've had eight children between us in the mean time so that kind of takes up 10 years so I think we were sort of entitled to it after sort of 15 years of being on the road."

"But music is part of the fabric of us. It is absolutely who we are. This is what we do, so it's not really a revelation from that point of view if you know what I mean. This is what we do so we're just doing it."

As to what fans should expect from the new The Corrs album, a report from Irish Times revealed that U2 singer Bono might have heard what the band has in store for their next effort.

According to an interview, the singer recalled how he and Johnny Cash were talking about Ellis Island and writing a song about it when he then learned that The Corrs recorded a song of the same title, as an addition to their repertoire.

"The song was called Ellis Island, and I had forgotten that we started this song," Bono claimed.

"What was really bizarre about the coincidence was that day I had just heard a song called Ellis Island from The Corrs' new album. They just played it for me. It is a really, really special song."
