Holly Madison Still Promoting Her Book; Explains Why She Let Go Of Her Sexy Image

Holly Madison is still promoting her book "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures And Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny." In an interview with Yahoo Parenting, the former Playboy Playmate explained why she decided to let go of her sexy image.

A first-time mom to two-year-old Rainbow Aurora Rotella, the 35-year-old addressed why she opted to stay simple during her pregnancy instead of keeping a sexy look.

"Women are on an emotional roller coaster when they're pregnant," Holly Madison pointed out. "Their bodies are changing and it's hard to feel good - so whatever you have to do to keep your confidence up and feel good on the bad days, you do."

"When I was pregnant, I switched up my style - I wore my hair darker, I did my makeup in a ′60s look, I wore baby doll dresses. I had fun trying out a different look, and I look forward to doing it again next time I'm pregnant," she shared.

Controversies have been surrounding Holly Madison since she released her book last summer. "Down the Rabbit Hole" detailed her life inside the Playboy mansion as one of the girlfriends of magazine founder Hugh Hefner.

Her troubled seven-year stint as a Playboy model seemed to have influenced Holly Madison to stop doing sexy projects.

"As for a posing nude, I get asked about it a lot from people who are considering doing it," she said.

"I don't try to talk anyone into it or out of it, but I do want them to know that before you make the decision, you should consider the ramifications. While you are doing it, it might seem fine, but years later you don't necessarily want those pics out there, and they don't go away."

"Plus, one thing I've learned is that if people know you've posed nude for anything, they want to take your choices away in different contexts. So, because you've done it before, they assume you'll pose nude for anything, anytime, anywhere," she detailed.

While Holly Madison has been busy with her book and family after dropping her sexy image, former Playboy mansion housemates have been claiming that her tell-all memoir is full of lies.

According to a report from People, ex-Playmate Kendra Wilkinson slammed her former "Girls Next Door" co-star in her reality show "Kendra On Top."

"What Holly is saying is extremely false," Kendra Wilkinson said. "I'm like, 'Where did this s--- come from?'"

Former Playboy Playmate Izabella St James also called out false accusations made by Holly Madison in her book.

"Holly chose to just completely lie and omit that she was absolutely, completely obsessed with Hugh," the Polish model told Daily Mail.

Holly Madison then explained to In Touch Weekly that the claims of her former Playboy co-workers do not matter.

"I don't really care," she shrugged. "I didn't write the book to get a reaction, I wanted to share my story with the people I thought could benefit from it."
