Ciara and Russell Wilson were defended amid constant criticisms over their celibacy vow. In an interview with TMZ, football star Tim Tebow was quick to support the controversial couple.

A reporter asked the NFL quarterback about his similarities with the Seattle Seahawks star.

"You're an advocate for saving yourself until marriage. I wanted to know if you have any advice for Russell Wilson?" the reported pried.

Tim Tebow paused before giving a short but direct answer.

"I just wish both of them and everybody all the luck, and God bless man," he said.

Before Ciara and Russell Wilson made news for their vow of celibacy, Tim Tebow has long been outspoken about how he wants to wait until marriage before having sex.

According to a previous report from Christian Today, he was also aware that his personal decision would raise several eyebrows.

"Yes, I am," Tim Tebow said about keeping his virginity. "I think you're stunned right now. You can't even ask a question."

"I was ready for that question, but I don't think y'all were," he added.

Ciara and Russell Wilson's relationship has also been criticized because of how the NFL star's team has been losing a lot of games lately. Some fans claim that the Seattle Seahawks player is spending too much time with his diva girlfriend and is losing focus on football.

According to a report from Rolling Stone, the "Body Party" singer simply laughed off allegations that she has caused Russell Wilson to fall under a "Ciara Curse."

"You know what? It comes with territory," Ciara said.

"You realize when people say negative things about you [that] you're still living your dream. When people say those types of comments, you know, that's silly. It's clearly silly."

"I choose to focus on the positive and focus on the cool things that are truly happening. That's how I live my life, and I have to say life is good. Clearly those things don't make any sense," she said.
