Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris may be taking a leaf from her song "Shake It Off" as they continue to keep private amid the media frenzy on their relationship and the recent breakup rumors.

In an interview with NME, the "Style" singer admitted that she doesn't mind getting scrutinized in general.

"There's really nothing I can do about it, because I'm living my life the way I want to live it," she explained.

"In 10 years of touring and writing albums, and having my confessional songwriting misunderstood, misconstrued, paraphrased, investigated, I've never wavered," the "Style" singer added. "This is the way I want to live my life."

There was a time though that the pop-country singer decided to disconnect when the focus on her love life became too overwhelming.

"I went through a few years where I just never went online and never looked at blogs," she shared to GQ magazine. "This was around 2013, when the only thing anyone wanted to write about me was about me and some guy. It was really damaging."

Taylor Swift's other half, Calvin Harris, has also spoken about the media scrutiny they were receiving particularly on their relationship. The DJ also said that he doesn't mind at all because the good overpowers the bad side.

"It's interesting because obviously there's different things written about it every day and even if we don't do anything publicly for a while, someone will make something up," the DJ told KISS FM UK in July.
 
"For me it could be a lot worse and I'd still be like insanely happy with her so I'm good with it," he added.

Although the "Shake It Off" singer and the DJ's relationship started out with much frenzy over their social media posts that included each other and dinner date sightings, they've recently kept their relationship very private. The inactivity of their relationship on social media had rumors swirling that they might've have split. But according to a report on People, the gossip was nonsense.
