Rockstar Announces Possibility Of ‘GTA 6’ Release Date; Female Character To Be Introduced?

"Grand Theft Auto 5" has gained a phenomenal reaction from their fans after its overall success and even though they haven't fully explore the entire game, Rockstar Studios still confirmed that a release date of a "GTA 6" follow up could still happen in the near future.

According to an official statement by Rockstar Studios boss Leslie Benzies in a report by Develop Online, he claimed that they already have ideas to not just one follow up but for multiple more games, claiming how they have over four decades worth of ideas in store.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies revealed concerning the possible release date of "GTA 6." "We don't know what 'GTA 6' will be, but we've got some ideas."

In addition to that, he also thought about the potential plot and setting of the game claiming how they are thinking about potentially taking the game outside of the US.

However, Benzies said that they have to collect everyone's ideas first before moving on with their next step.

"It comes from the idea first," he said about the possible setting of "GTA 6" once the relase date is announced. "Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."

Meanwhile, Master Herald speculated that the introduction of a female lead character could be possible after getting rumors that Eva Mendes could potentially be part of the project.

"The female character report has long been in the rumor mill so the only thing new in the report is the involvement of the partner of Eva Mendes to the project," the report claimed.

The release date for "GTA 6" is rumored to drop in 2017, 2018 or later.
