April's Somin wrote a handwritten letter for her fans on Nov. 9 and uploaded it on April's official fan site as an announcement of her departure from the group.

Inside the letter, Somin clarified that her departure from the group was a decision she made herself and that her members, agency and family all respected.

Somin stated in her letter:

"The reason I am writing this is that I am finishing up my April career starting November 9, 2015. I wanted to tell you myself, so I decided to write you a letter. 

The time was short and long at the same time but looking back, they were such happy and thankful moments for me. I feel so sorry that I am repaying this gratitude with such unfortunate news.

I thought about it a lot and even though April's 'Somin' is precious to me, 'Jun Somin' as an individual seemed to be more fitting for me to pursue what I really want to do. And thankfully, April members and my agnecy family decided to respect my decision.

I'll never forger the warm memories with April no matter where I am and what I'm doing. My April babies who are like my friends and family to me. Please continue to love them. I'll always be supporting April as well."

With a peaceful and positive departure, fans are anticipating what the next move Somin will take as far as her career goes.

As of Nov. 9, April will continue as a 5-member group.
