Justin Timberlake: Jimmy Fallon Heckled Me At My Wedding To Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake says late night host Jimmy Fallon gave one of his best monologues at his wedding to Jessica Biel... by heckling him.

Timberlake revealed in an essay about Fallon for Time's 100 Most Influential People that Fallon interrupted him during his October 2012 wedding to Biel, heckling Timberlake during an improptu speech at the wedding reception.

"You could hear a pin drop. I paused for just a moment in between thoughts," wrote Timberlake. "And then there was Jimmy, shouting a joke from his seat, sparking an improv between the two of us that went on for a good five or 10 minutes and had all our guests roaring with laughter."

Timberlake said he found the incident to be funny and praised Fallon's comedic timing, saying that few people would have had the humor to pull off such a gutsy move.

"Interrupting the groom's speech at the wedding reception? Cracking jokes when your buddy is looking desperately for the words to say that he hopes his wife will remember forever? It turned into a moment that everyone there will remember forever. Anyone else would have bombed on that stage. And then I would have kicked their ass."

Timberlake was also featured as one of the 100 most influential people, but his essay was composed by musician Stevie Wonder.

Fallon has established himself as arguably the most popular late night host on television. His show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has been on the air since March 2009 and has racked up 818 episodes.

"He's a brilliant comedian. A talented musician. A spot-on impersonator," Timberlake added. "Jimmy has redefined and recharged late-night television with a genuine excitement and energy that gets under your skin."

Fallon is slated to take over Jay Leno's role as host of The Tonight Show in 2014. It remains unclear who will replace Fallon in his current time slot, but radio host Howard Stern has reportedly been considered for the gig.
