Psy's 'Gentleman' Breaks Daily YouTube Record

Another record for Psy's "Gentleman?" Surprisingly, there are still more records to be broken. And yes, it happened again.

Today, YouTube announced that on April 14, when the music video of "Gentleman" was officially posted, the clip recorded over 38.4 million view counts in a single day. The astronomical number of hits makes "Gentleman" the most viewed video in any 24-hour period. The previous record was held by the controversial 'KONY 2012' video which called for the overthrow of militia leader Joseph Kony and shed light on the forced development of boy soldiers and sexual exploitation of children. The clip recorded 30 million views in a single day.

As of today, "Gentleman" has drawn 210 million clicks on YouTube.

Upon Google's announcement of yet another record by Psy, the music video may catch a second wave of attention as it continues its long journey to catch up to its predecessor, "Gangnam Style," which recorded over 1.5 billion views during its history-making debut.

Meanwhile, Psy will begin his promotional tour in the United States on April 25.
