Madonna's Homeless Brother Arrested For Not Leaving A Bathroom, Being Drunk In A Church, Swearing In Front of Children

Madonna's homeless brother was arrested recently in Michigan. The pop singer and icon's older brother, who is homeless, required nine stitches in his forehead due to a struggle while he resisted arrest in a public bathroom in northern Michigan, where Madonna is from.

Madonna's brother Anthony Ciccone, 56, refused to leave the bathroom at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center at around 11 PM on Sunday night. He challenged a cleaning crew, so the police were called.

A female law enforcement officer tried to arrest Ciccone on an outstanding trespass warrant, but he showed resistance, according to officials. Ciccone's face hit the bathroom floor when the responding officer tackled him to the ground in response.

Subsequently, Anthony Ciccone received nine stitches at Munson Medical Center before being arraigned on the warrant and jailed without bond. At the time of his arrest, Ciccone's blood-alcohol level was 0.40-- five times the Michigan legal limit.

Anthony Ciccone has been homeless for the past three years. His sister, Madonna, has a net worth of over one billion. He suffers from an alcohol addiction and last week told press that Madonna does not care about him. "'I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me. We never loved each other", he said.

Ciccone worked at the family vineyard owned by his father and stepmother until he lost his job due to drinking wine straight from the vats. "My father would be very happy if I died of hypothermia and then he would not have to worry about it anymore," he stated.  A family friend claims Ciccone's parents care about him and are worried about him, and that he could get his job back if he quits drinking.

According to records, the outstanding warrant Anthony Ciccone was brought in on was due to an incident in March, when Ciccone was reclining in front of a fireplace at a bookstore and refused to leave.  Ciccone was arrested recently for being intoxicated in a church and swearing in front of children; he spent a month in jail as a result.

No attorney is listed for Ciccone. Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, declined to comment.
