After the reunion of Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly, fans appeared to be unable to contain their excitement over the possible return of Ziva David to "NCIS" season 13.

Will the show finally give their fans a definite reason to be more excited for the upcoming episodes?

Director David Smith shared a snap of him with the lead stars on Nov. 15 on Twitter (@NCISDIR). Despite having no mention of some details that can be related to "NCIS," fans of "Tiva," the love team of Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly) and Ziva, seemed to find a ray of hope about the coming back of Cote de Pablo's character in "NCIS" season 13.

"Ok so how much fun did I have last night?" Smith captioned the photo that showed the actress wrapping her arms around her character's love interest in the series.

The said post gathered more than 2,700 likes and have pushed at least 700 followers to share it.

"Your tweet made me smile; thank you for that," Twitter user NiDane (@NativSwan) commented. "Well done."

"You have made this TIVA fan so happy with that picture!!!!" Marla (@zoyaroses) wrote. "Now, let's get Ziva back to #NCIS!!"

However, several comments hinted about the new movie of Cote de Pablo while emphasizing that other fans' fantasy about her return as Ziva in "NCIS" season 13 is just all that - fantasy.

"Was this at the premier for Cote's movie?" asked a certain DiNozzo's Probie (‏@MaryH319).

"Apparently her 'fans' don't know she has a new movie?" he stated in another comment. "Just assume it means she's coming back? Good Lord!!"

In the meantime, a report by TV Guide in September had already shot down the reunion rumors of Cote de Pablo's Ziva and Weatherly's Tony in "NCIS" season 13.

"There'll definitely be some surprise appearances of people from our NCIS past, but Ziva David is not one of them," showrunner Gary Glasberg told the site.
