Are You The Next K-pop Dancer? MNET Opens Applications for “Dancing 9”

Home to all things Asian pop, MNET is well-versed in everything K-pop.  And any K-pop fan knows that K-pop isn’t K-pop without the groove and beat.  With the rise of covers for the most popular K-pop dance tunes, MNET is launching “Dancing 9” a dance survival program where participants will battle it out to be the next dancing star.

Everyone, and they mean everyone, is welcome as they are now accepting applications all over the world.  Applicants who get chosen will be flown to Korea where their housing and living expenses will be accounted for, as long as they survive in the program.  There will be 18 finalists, which will then be split to two 9-member groups.  The winning team will receive half a million dollars worth of rewards.  And of course, each team will have its star member or the MVP (or maybe MVD – for Most Valuable Dancer in this case).  The MVD winner will get their dancing dreams come true (i.e. tuition to dance school).

There’s still time, 48 hours from the time of writing to be exact! All kinds of dance are welcome for the application process. Solo and duo acts are possible!  All that’s needed is a video submission, by April 26th.  Those who make it through the first stage of application will be notified for participation in the auditions taking place in June.

Interested dancers should go to Dancing 9 homepage and follow all the instructions.

Still need some encouragement? Perhaps Busker Busker’s Brad can help with that.  Watch him here.
