"Assassination Classroom" Season 2 release date officially announced. 

When a series turns out to be successful, there is usually a sequel that follows to please fans and to expand the story. The wait for any sequel is agonizing, but those who are fans of "Assasination Classroom" will be glad to know that there is already a release date announced. 

According to Anime News Network, it was announced on Weekly Shonen Jump magazine that the "Assassination Classroom" Season 2 will premiere on Jan. 7, 2015. It is reported that the show will air on Fuji TV and Kansai TV and new episodes will air on Thursday night. 

The first season of the "Assasination Classroom" anime based on the manga of the same name premiered on January 9 of this year with its first live-action film adaptation opening in March 21. Both the anime series and the "Assasination Classroom" Season 2 anime series are set for 2016.

The release dates may be done simultaneously, just like what happened earlier this year, but there are no details if the stories will be following the same story arc. This would be a great opportunity for fans to see the newest season in live-action, if the writer and producer choose to go the route where the sequel is based on the upcoming second series. 

The sequel to the first live action film is titled "Assassination Classroom: Graduation Edition," according to Arama Japan, it will be featuring the same cast members with the newly added Ninomiya Kazunari and Kiritani Mirei. 

"Assasination Classroom" is a Japanese manga series that follows the daily lives of a powerful alien teacher and his students who are delegated with the task of assassinating him to prevent Earth from being destroyed in a year. The yellow octopus alien gives mankind the chance to change their fate of having their world destroyed. 

The government takes matters into their own hands and promise a reward of $100 million to whomever manages to kill the teacher within a year. The task is easier said that done as the alien teacher has several superpowers and also has the ability to move at an incredible speed. It also becomes more difficult as he turns out to be one of the best teachers they have ever had.
