'Rainbow Six Siege' Beta Is Officially Open, Server Problems Could Affect The Release Date

"Rainbow Six Siege" beta is open for playing.

This is one of the anticipated games of the year and even before its release there are already people saying that the game may not be all it is hoped to be. Despite the rumors putting down the game, there are others who are willing to jump on the bandwagon and check things out.

The "Rainbow Six Siege" beta has suffered some delays because of server issues and, according to Realty Today, this isn't good news. The issues have a domino effect on all the versions of the game and might also affect the game's release date in the end.

"This Open Beta will ensure the cleanest launch possible. Keep in mind that this beta is intended for this exact reason: find problems and troubleshoot them to ensure the most stable launch possible," stated Ubisoft in a statement.

This wasn't the only time that the game had problems, there were server issues even during the closed beta testing. It was allegedly so bad that the end date of the closed beta had to be moved twice because of the problems. So the open "Rainbow Six Siege" beta may have the same fate and fans shouldn't get disappointed when the game's release date may get moved again.

"Rainbow Six Siege" is a first person tactical shooter game where players are an operator from the Rainbow team, a counter-terrorist unit. While the game puts heavy emphaisis on environemental destruction, powerful weapons are valuable and limited in the game system. It is set several years after the Rainbow Program was deactivated, where the team must now face a new enemy only known as "The White Masks." The team must stop whatever terror this new enemy plans to unleash to the world and must figure out their goals as to why they are doing so.
