Despite still nursing an injured leg, Ailee won't be sitting out the upcoming 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony, reports MyDaily (via Netizenbuzz).

Ailee (also known as Amy Lee and Lee Yejin) will join the star-studded lineup of Korean singers and acts that will be gracing the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), one of the most anticipated awards shows of the year to be held in Hong Kong on Dec. 2.

Online commenters are wondering what led to the decision, and speculation ranged from Ailee receiving pressure from the producers as well as a possibility that the singer might be getting an award, which would require her attendance.

"I'm wondering why this ceremony is even worth her bringing her injured body out to perform for?" asked one commenter on the initial report. "Did Mnet threaten her if she didn't show up? But then again, I wouldn't put it past Mnet to do that."

"Her album didn't even do that well this time, is she going to receive an award for it?" said another top-rated comment compiled by Netizenbuzz.

But it is important to note that Ailee did push through with her comeback early last month. She sat on a stool with a leg cast while belting out her new song, "Mind Your Own Business."

Ailee's new album had a relatively lukewarm reception, and online commenters criticized her producers for not matching the level of her vocal talent.

"Honestly, her new song is so bad. I know that Ailee's skills are top notch but her agency isn't doing enough for her. She needs an agency that just all in for her so she can perform to her potential," said one fan.

"It's upsetting that all her songs are so obvious and sound the same, they just don't do justice to her talent. She really just needs a good producer to bring her to her potential," said another.
