iPhone 7 rumors that they will be making a big change to the smartphone's design.

Smartphones are one of the daily necessities to just about anyone who owns one. Though they may come in different shapes and sizes, there are a few key parts that every device must have to function. A screen, a speaker, a charging port and the like are some of the external necessities that are needed to function at a basic level. 

iPhone 7 rumors that they may possibly ditch one of these external phone necessities for the next generation smartphone device. 

Accordind to Slash Gear, iPhone 7 rumors suggest that the new smartphone from Apple will say goodbye to the 3.5mm headphone jack. It's a difficult idea to get around that a smartphone, where music and videos can be stored as well, won't be having the jack for headphones. The Lightning connector port will be the one responsible for both charging and a wired headphones. 

The reason why the headphone jack was "deleted" from the iPhone 7's tentative design was to make the phone thinner, according to Mac Otakara. The Lightning port will still be remaining the same size so that the compatibility to the existing accessories would remain the same. 

The use of normal headphones is not yet over as there would most likely be a 3.5mm to Lightning adapter for backwards compatibility. It would really be a wasted to just toss a good set of headphones away just because the jack had changed. 

There is no official release from Apple concering the iPhone 7 rumors, however Apple Insider reported that the upcoming smartphone already has a lot of deatails leaked. Even the released date is known and would most likely be released July 2016. This is so that iPhone 7 would stay competitive with the slew of Android powerhouses that are available and those that will be released next year.
