SM Entertainment artists f(x) and EXO walk away with both Global Fan Choice Awards for male and female performers at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

After the award presenters shared a number of online social media posts complementing EXO and GOT7's Jackson, f(x) and EXO were announced for the award. Global Fan Choice Award sets these groups as two of the most actively supported by fans all over the world.

f(x) accepted the award unfortunately without Victoria, but conveyed their collective gratitude as a group. Amber also greeted fans in Chinese and English as well as Korean to express f(x)'s thanks to their global audience.

EXO accepted the award as the male Global Fan Choice Award. Members Suho and Lay greeted their fans in both Korean and Chinese. EXO further has been listed as the most supported group throughout the entire awards show according to Mnet's official voting page.
