Alexander Skarsgard Not Attached To ‘The Crow,’ Hunk From ‘True Blood’ Clarifies Rumors On Snagging Lead Role

Alexander Skarsgard neither denied nor confirmed his involvement in the Relativity Media’s reboot of The Crow. MTV caught up with the “True Blood” hunk at a press event for his upcoming drama "What Maisie Knew." The network tried to verify if there was any validity with the rumors.

Alexander Skarsgard’s reply, "No, I'm not attached to anything right now after 'True Blood.'"

The 36-year-old actor has great things to say, however, about the 1994 original starring Brandon Lee, according to MTV.

“Yeah it’s a great film,” Skarsgard’s said. “It’s really cool.”

During MTV’s short interview with the star, they mentioned that they’ll “keep it coy” and he responded by smiling and agreeing, “Yeah.”

If he doesn’t sign on for the project, the Swedish star will be among an elite group of actors, which includes Bradley Cooper and James McAvoy – to have almost worn the black.

“The Crow” remake will be directed by F. Javier Gutierez and the screenplay has been written by Jess Witugow.

According to Deadline.com, a lot of eyes are on Alexander Skarsgard as he is currently getting numerous offers after his plans to star for David Yates in Tarzan didn’t come through when Warner Bros. halted the project over financial issues. The site reported that no offer has yet been made to the actor but the role is his if he wants it.
